Discover The Best Natural Remedy to Beat Stress and Anxiety

by: Keith Woolley

Current info about Rhodiola is not always the easiest thing to locate. Fortunately, this report includes the latest Rhodiola info available.

Rhodiola Rosea is considered the best natural remedy to join the arsenal of anxiety and stress reducers.

Rhodiola Rosea, also known as Golden Root, is a native plant of arctic Siberia. For centuries it has been used by eastern European and Asian cultures for physical endurance, work productivity, longevity, resistance to high altitude sickness, and to treat fatigue, depression, anemia, impotence, gastrointestinal ailments, infections, and nervous system disorders.

The first recorded medicinal applications of rodia riza (renamed Rhodiola Rosea) was made by the Greek physician, Dioscorides, in 77 C.E. in 'De Materia Medica'. Rhodiola Rosea has been included in official Russian medicine since 1969.

Despite its long history, the Western world has only recently become aware of the health benefits of Rhodiola Rosea. It has come to the attention of many natural health practitioners because of studies which tested its affects on combating anxiety and stress.

Rhodiola Rosea is considered an adaptogen. This means it has an overall stabilizing effect on the body without disrupting other functions. Its ability to normalize hormones may be effective for treating depression and anxiety.

Studies of Rhodiola Rosea show that it stimulates neurotransmitters and enhances their effects on the brain. This includes the ability for the brain to process serotonin which helps the body to adapt to stress.

You may not consider everything you just read to be crucial information about Rhodiola. But don't be surprised if you find yourself recalling and using this very information in the next few days. Afterall don't we all suffer from some form of stress daily?

Since adaptogens improve the body's overall ability to handle stress, it has been studied to identify it's effects on biological, chemical and physical stress.

A study was performed to test the effects of Rhodiola Rosea when stress is caused by intense mental work (such as final exams). Such tests concluded that using Rhodiola Rosea improved the amount and quality of work, increasing mental clarity and reducing the effects of fatigue.

The effects of Rhodiola Rosea have also been tested on stress and anxiety from both physical and emotional sources. A report by the American Botanical Council states that "Most users find that it improves their mood, energy level, and mental clarity." They also report on a study that indicated Rhodiola Rosea could increase stress tolerance while at the same time protecting the brain and heart from the physical affects of stress.

This report included details of studies which highlight the overall health benefits of Rhodiola Rosea.

The generally recommended dose is 200-600mg/day. The active properties should be a minimum 0.8 percent salidroside and 3 percent rosavin.

It is important for consumers to know that Rhodiola may be sold using other species that do not share the properties of Rhodiola Rosea, or at ineffective strengths for treatment. Anyone with depression or anxiety should also check with a health professional when treating these symptoms.

Hopefully the sections above have contributed to your understanding of Rhodiola. Share your new understanding about Rhodiola with others. They'll thank you for it.

About The Author

Keith Woolley is a Director of Boots Herbal Stores Ltd and licensed reseller of Rhodiola online at www.rhodiola.co.uk.
Boots Herbal Stores have been established since 1939 in the UK

Boot Camp-Troubleshooting Hardware Bootup Problems

by: Keith Park

This guide deals with troubleshooting a PC that won't boot to the point where it at least starts loading an operating system (hardware related problem). This article is intended for a person who has a little knowledge of PC's and is comfortable opening up and working inside a PC. If this isn't you, then I recommend taking your PC to a qualified PC repair shop. This is meant as a general troubleshooting guide and by no means covers every scenario that can occur, any omissions or mistakes were not intentional and will be updated as necessary.

Now let's get started..

Keep it Simple

First and foremost, I cannot stress enough that when it comes to troubleshooting PC's, KEEP IT SIMPLE! You will save yourself a lot of time and effort if you start looking for the simplest and most obvious solutions first.

With that being said here is a list of a few things you should start checking first..

1. Check the Power Cable

(reason: ensure the PC is getting power and that the problem isn't simply a bad power cable)

Is it plugged into the back of the PC tightly?

Is it plugged into a power source?

If it is connected to a power bar --- is the power bar plugged in and turned on?

If possible try a different power cord and/or power bar

Is a breaker blown in the building? Try a different wall plug

2. Check the monitor

(reason: make sure the monitor is still working. When you boot a PC you expect to see something on the monitor, if you don't, one may think their PC isn't working when in fact there is something wrong with the monitor)

Is the power cable plugged in tight to the back of the monitor?

Is the power cable plugged into a power source?

If it is connected to a power bar --- is the power bar plugged in and turned on?

Is the monitor turned on?

Is the monitor's video cable plugged tightly into the video card on the PC?

Are the contract and brightness settings of the monitor adjusted correctly?

If possible try a different monitor.

3. Visually check the power supply

(reason: a PC may boot to a point with a failing power supply but can quickly overheat causing it to the PC to stop functioning)

Does the fan turn when the PC is turned on?

Does it feel hot to the touch?

Do any lights come on when the PC power button is pressed?

4. Check the keyboard

(reason: a PC needs a keyboard to boot, most times if there is a keyboard problem a message will be displayed on the screen, however this may not always be the case and the computer may just stop booting)

Is the keyboard connected to the PC?

If possible try a different keyboard.

5. Check the floppy and CD drive

(reason: when a PC boots, by default it will try and boot from the floppy or CD drive first. If there is a disk in either of these drives even if it is not a bootable disk, the PC may try to boot from the disk. Most times an error is displayed when it can't boot from the disk but this isn't always the case)

Is there a disk in the floppy drive?

Is there a disk in the CD drive?

A person may think that it is a waste of time to check such simple things and want to skip the above checklist. I cannot count how many times I have been called to troubleshoot a PC only to find that a power bar was turned off or there was a disk in the floppy or CD drive. Take the time now to check the easy things--- I guarantee you it will save a lot of headaches and frustrations.

Advanced Troubleshooting

When a computer is first turned on, the hardware runs a Power-On Self Test (POST). If errors are encountered during this POST test, they are usually indicated by a beep or in the form of a code displayed on the screen. With this error code you can determine what part of the system is having problems and find a solution. You have probably heard a beep code in the past and just not realized it. You know the one or two short beeps your computer makes when you first turn it on, that is a beep code indicating everything checks out OK. With some PC's it may seem like there isn't any beep code, what is probably happening here is there is a problem with the internal speaker inside the PC, it is either not present, not functioning any longer or not connected properly to the motherboard. If this is the case in your instance, check to see a visual code is being displayed on the monitor, if nothing then skip ahead to the next section.

To check for an error code on your PC, turn the computer on and listen for any beeps or look on the monitor screen for a code. As I mentioned, one or two short beeps indicates everything is OK, if you experience any different sequence or length of beeps, write down what you heard, (e.g. 1 long beep followed by two short beeps) or write down the error code on the screen. Error codes vary from PC to PC depending on the manufacturer of the motherboard inside the PC. It would be beyond the scope of this guide to include every manufacturer error codes as some may be missed and some may change as new technology is introduced. Performing a search on the Internet using your favorite search engine will find many sites specific to your PC. They will have a list of codes, what they mean and potentially how to fix them, look for the code you wrote down previously. The hardware generally checked by the POST test is the motherboard, CPU, power supply, memory and video card. If the error c!

ode indicates a problem in one of these areas, make sure all cards in the PC are seated correctly in the motherboard slots and that the power supply cables are connected snuggly to the motherboard. If all of this has been done and you still receive an error code then chances are the device has failed and will need to be replaced.

If the POST test doesn't reveal the source of the problem the next step is to open up the PC.

Staying with the theme of keeping it simple we will want to try and start the PC with the minimum hardware required to boot a computer. All you need to boot a PC is the motherboard, memory, some sort of media (floppy disk, hard disk, CD, etc.) and a video card. What we will want to do is remove or disconnect any unnecessary hardware.

Leave one form of media drive connected to boot with, preferably the floppy drive if available, and disconnect all other drives.

Remove all cards except for the video card.

Remove all memory except for one stick

Insert bootable media (floppy disk, CD, etc.) and power on the PC

If the PC doesn't boot with the minimum hardware then the problem may lie with the video card, memory or the motherboard. Try using a different stick of memory if you have one as well try using a different video card. Friends and family can be great sources for this, ask to borrow their video card or memory from their PC, just make sure to return it when you are done. If swapping the memory and video card don't work then you more than likely have a problem with the motherboard and it will need to be replaced.

If it does boot.

Turn it off

Insert or connect one hardware device that was previously removed

Try booting again.

Repeat these steps until the computer no longer boots.

Once the PC doesn't boot again the last hardware device that was connected is the problem and should be replaced or permanently removed.

If you get to this point and your PC still doesn't want to load an operating system then it is time to have a qualified computer technician look at the problem or purcahse a new PC. You gave it your best shot but sometimes a fresh set of eyes can see something that may have been missed.

About The Author

Copyright © 2005 by Keith Park all rights reserved.
When Should You Hang Up Your Betting Boots for the Day?

by: Jess Kirley

?	Quit as soon as you are in front for the day?

?	Set a stop loss and quit betting for the day if you reach that point?

?	Set a profit target and quit as soon as you reach that goal?

?	If your first few bets lose, then you should quit because you luck isn't with you today?

?	If you win your first few bets then you should quit because you have already used your luck for the day and from now on you must have bad luck?

Sound familiar? I am sure you have heard them all before. Most punters usually will advocate one of the above, or a slight variation of one of the above. They say that this one decision is just as important as the game they are playing or the skills they possess in the game.

Which is correct? Well, if you are a serious long-term player, there is only one answer (well, to be honest, maybe two).

Quit Betting For the Day if You No Longer Have an Edge.

I want you to read this one line, out loud 10 times, as it is that important.

This is the only reason you should stop betting (providing of course, that you hold an edge). I am not plucking this idea off the top of my head. No, this is a mathematically proven fact! I don't care how much money you have either won, or lost, on any particular day. If you have good bankroll management and your judgment is not affected by a winning or losing run (which it shouldn't be, once you become experienced), then I would suggest that you continue to bet. It is that simple. You should not view your betting as separate sessions where you calculate your profit or loss. No . . .

You must view your gambling as one continuous session, which NEVER ends.

This is the reason it would make no sense to quit just because you are ahead or behind. This is reality. As long as you have an edge, tell me why would you stop betting? OK, we all have to sleep, eat and live our lives. I believe this is the only other reason as to why you would consider calling it quits for the day. Also, if you are mentally fatigued, it doesn't make good business sense to continue your betting either.

In saying this, I certainly can understand how punters perceptions may lead them into false beliefs. After all, how many times have you been a few hundred in front at the TAB, casino or track, only to leave with your tail between your legs and twenty cents in your pocket? On the way home you think to yourself, 'I knew I should have stopped when I was ahead'. How did you know? Keep in mind I am assuming that you hold a long-term edge on your game of choice.

If you don't hold an edge, then yes, you should quit while you are ahead, or to go one step further, you should be playing with small stakes for a bit of fun only.

However, providing you hold an edge on the game, are still mentally alert, have not become emotional (become over confident or are reeling from a loss), and would like to make some money, then you should continue to play your game regardless of recent results.

Providing you continue to make positive expectation bets, tell me why you would stop, if you lost a couple of bets in a row, or if you struck a winner with your first bet? (I am assuming you have established a betting bank that you can afford to lose.)

The only benefit I can see in stopping, when you have either won or lost a certain amount, would be to boost your confidence. To stop betting for the day, when you are showing a profit, may help to boost your confidence. In reality, you are reducing the amount that you will make in the long-term (because your turnover is not as great), but maybe your confidence and enjoyment derived from gambling may rise. In this case, stopping after a couple of good wins may be the way to go for you personally.

If you don't have an edge, and you are serious about making money from gambling, you should develop your gambling skills so as you can create an edge.

However, if you are gambling purely for the enjoyment, then setting stop losses, either at a winning point or losing point, is the best way to play. This way, by reducing turnover, and thus not losing as much in the long-term, is smart play.

About The Author

Australians Matt Elliott and Jess Kirley, at http://www.puntingace.com have been investing together professionally on sports for over 3 years now.
7 Steps to Protect Yourself from the Winter Sun

by: Roger Carr

What outdoor activities did you do this past summer? Maybe you went on a vacation to the beach. Maybe you spent some time playing your favorite sports such as baseball, golf, or tennis. Maybe you went swimming or had a barbeque in the backyard with family and friends. Regardless of the outdoor activities you did over the summer, most likely you were aware that it was important to protect yourself from sun while outdoors.

Now winter is approaching. I am turning my attention to putting away my summer items to make room for the winter ones; long sleeve shirts for short sleeve ones, corduroy pants for shorts, and boots for sandals. Most of the sports equipment I have been using is going to get put away as well. But what about those items I have been using to protect myself from the sun? Things like my sunscreens, sunglasses, and sun protective hats and clothing.

You may be putting these items away and not using them during the winter. The National Council of Skin Cancer Prevention reported in their January 2003 newsletter that research shows only 3 percent of Americans routinely wear sunscreen during the fall months, and only 2 percent during the winter months. However, you can still get a sunburn and snow blindness during these months. The colder temperatures do not block the UV rays and reflections off the snow and higher altitudes can make matters even worse. You may be causing yourself significant, long-term damage by not properly protecting yourself.

How do you protect yourself from the winter sun (or any other season)? Follow these simple sun safety action steps recommended by the US Environmental Protection Agency:

Limit Time in the Midday Sun - The sun's rays are strongest between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Whenever possible, limit exposure to the sun during these hours.

Wear a Hat - A hat with a wide brim offers good sun protection to your eyes, ears, face, and the back of your neck - areas particularly prone to overexposure to the sun.

Cover Up - Wearing tightly woven, loose-fitting, and full-length clothing is a good way to protect your skin from the sun's UV rays.

Wear Sunglasses that Block 99-100% of UV Radiation -Sunglasses that provide 99-100% UVA and UVB protection will greatly reduce sun exposure that can lead to cataracts and other eye damage. Check the label when buying sunglasses.

Always Use Sunscreen - Apply a broad spectrum sunscreen with a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of at least 15 or higher liberally on exposed skin. Reapply every 2 hours, or after working, swimming, playing, or exercising outdoors. Even waterproof sunscreen can come off when you towel off, sweat, or spend extended periods of time in the water.

Avoid Sunlamps and Tanning Parlors - The light source from sunbeds and sunlamps damages the skin and unprotected eyes. It's a good idea to avoid artificial sources of UV light.

Watch for the UV Index - The UV Index provides important information to help you plan your outdoor activities in ways that prevent overexposure to the sun. Developed by the National Weather Service (NWS) and EPA, the UV Index is issued daily in selected cities across the United States.

I am going to keep my sun protective items out to use this winter. I am trusting that you will do the same so that you can enjoy the outdoors while in the cold, on the ice, or in the snow. Have a terrific and safe winter!

About The Author

Roger Carr lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia and is a contributing author to the Sun Clothing, etc. monthly newsletter.
Christmas Decorating: Create A Lifelike Santa In Your Bathroom

by: Johann Erickson

If you love to go all out with your Christmas decorating, here is a whimsical, original idea for your bathroom:

Materials needed:

White shower curtain, canvas, or fabric (a new canvas drop cloth works great)

Shower curtain liner (to protect curtain from moisture)

Projector*

Permanent black marker, preferably a thick one

Paint pens

Paint

Fiberfill or cotton balls

Santa hat

Black felt (about one yard)

2 red hand towels or red fabric

*If you can draw, you may not need the projector. If you are not artistically inclined, and do not already own a projector, see if you can borrow one.

Let's get started!

If you're using fabric instead of a shower curtain, you'll need to make it standard shower curtain size, which is about 72" x 72". Cut the fabric 73" x 73", fold each side over one half inch, press into place, and hem each side to make smooth edges. Purchase plastic rings (usually found near the curtain rods) and sew them to the top for shower curtain rings. If you don't already have a second rod, pick up a tension rod. They are inexpensive and simple to install.

The next step is finding a great picture of Santa Clause. Look in coloring books, storybooks, or online. Once you find a picture you like, blow it up on the projector until Santa looks life-sized. Hang the fabric or shower curtain on the wall or a door with thumbtacks or straight pins, and project the image onto it. Santa's knees should be about 6" from the bottom of the shower curtain. Stop at the knees and do not draw the rest of the legs (you will see why later).

Next, trace the image with a permanent black marker (put paper behind the curtain to keep marker from seeping through). Fill in the details for Santa's face as well as other intricate areas with the paint pens. Fill in his suit with paint. Nearly any kind of paint will do, but craft paint is the least expensive.

In order to create a three dimensional effect, use fiberfill or stretched out cotton balls for Santa's hair and beard. Apply with regular school glue or use fabric glue. Use a real Santa hat instead of painting one. These can be found at dollar stores and discount stores for very little money. Simply stitch the hat onto the curtain from the backside, or attach it with fabric glue.

Add a piece of black felt for Santa's belt. A real buckle makes a nice touch. You can remove a buckle from an old belt that you no longer wear and thread the felt through it, or you can purchase a used belt at a thrift store and simply remove the buckle to use it for this project. Stitch the felt into place or apply with fabric glue.

Hang the curtain and tuck the bottom edge inside the tub. Santa's knees should line up closely with the edge of the tub.

Here's the really fun part: Fold the red towels in half lengthwise and stitch or glue the sides together. If using fabric, cut to the size of regular hand towels (not fingertip towels) and proceed as directed above. Next, arrange the towels so that the attached edges are in the middle instead of along the side then press into place with a warm iron. This seam should face the shower curtain so it won't show. Stitch or glue the towels to Santa's knees. Santa now has three-dimensional legs that swing when the curtain moves!

Make mittens and boots from the leftover black felt. Attach the mittens to the curtain and the boots to the towels. Another neat idea is to set a pair of boots outside the tub and tuck the "legs" into the boots. This looks terrific and makes the effect even more dimensional. This idea is best used in the guest bathroom or on the day company is coming, after everyone has showered, if used in the main bathroom (otherwise, you'll have to keep moving the boots each time the tub is needed).

To make your shower curtain even more festive, wrap small empty boxes to look like gifts and attach them to the curtain, or sew on tiny plastic ornaments or candy canes. Just use your imagination.

This is a fun, yet fairly simple project to complete, and you will get lots of compliments on this unique, whimsical decorating idea.

About The Author

Johann Erickson writes for such sites as Online Discount Mart (www.onlinediscountmart.com) and TV Products 4 Less (www.tvproducts4less.com).

All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) Sell Well On eBay

by: Sydney Johnston

ATV auctions are healthy markets on eBay. All terrain vehicles have changed in the last few years (naturally) and the major change has been from one person ATVs to two person models.

The best selling atvs on eBay are:

Bombardier

Arctic Cat

Kawasaki

Polaris

Yamaha

Honda

Suzuki

Demand is especially strong in the warm weather months, although snow mobiles are moderately

If you're going to ride all terrain vehicles, check out the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's free safety report, #450:

http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/pubs/atvpubs.html

If you're an ATV seller on eBay, you will be doing your buyers a service to refer to the publication above, and also to recommend the following protective gear should be worn every time your buyer rides an ATV:

Helmet — Select a helmet that bears the label of either the Department of Transportation, the American National Standards Institute or the Snell Memorial Foundation. The helmet should fit snugly and be securely fastened. Full-face helmets protect your face as well as your head. Open-face types are lighter and cooler, but should be used with a chin guard that will offer chin and mouth protection.

Eye protection — Eye protection is a must. If an object such as a rock, branch or even a bug hits you in the face, it will distract you and may cause blindness if it hits you in the eyes.

Regular sunglasses do not provide adequate protection. The helmet's face shield or a pair of riding goggles will protect your eyes properly. Select well-ventilated goggles that can be securely fastened and are free from scratches.

Gloves — Gloves provide protection from abrasions and help to keep your hands from getting sore, tired or cold. Off-road style motorcycle gloves provide a good combination of protection and comfort.

Boots — Riders should wear boots that lace up at least above the ankle for ankle support, with low heels to help prevent the boot from slipping off the footrests.

Shirt and pants — A long-sleeved shirt and long pants should be worn to reduce abrasions on the body.

Selling ATVs is a lucrative market on eBay -and for added profit, why not sell the safety equipment above? It will add to your bank account and protect your buyers.

About The Author

Sydney Johnston, the AUCTION QUEEN, was one of the original sellers on eBay and has been selling on eBay since the winter of 1996.
DIY Ladder Safety Tips

by: Amanda Miller

In 2004 The United States department of Labor reported that the number of injuries and fatalities from falls from roofs and ladders had increased. This report focused on occupational injuries that generally occur among trained personnel, which speaks to an even greater safety concern over DIY projects utilizing ladders.

Most accidents occur from incorrect use of the ladder or materials. Before you begin a project make sure that you have gone through safety preparations and are familiar with the tools to be used. As in most DIY projects, the best safety precaution is to think out your task thoroughly before beginning. You should have confidence in both yours and your equipment?s ability to complete the project.

Getting Started:

Once you have decided that you need to use a ladder to complete your project, make sure that you have the right type of ladder. There are many types of ladders all with their own advantages and disadvantages, which may include weight and height limits. If you are not sure that your ladder is the best fit for the job, make sure to consult a professional.

Some general things to look for in a ladder are:

How strong is it?

How tall is it?

Is it made primarily for indoor or outdoor use?

What material is it made out of (certain materials can have unique weaknesses or safety concerns)?

Does it have any cracks?

Does it have a coating such as paint that could cover defects?

Are the rungs secured?

Are the footpads secure and dry?

Diving into your Project:

While you may be eager to get started on your project, please take the time to ensure that your ladder is set-up correctly and that you know how to use it safely.

1. Make sure your ladder is steady. Place the ladder on a surface that is strong and level; also make sure that the ladder is not on top of any slippery materials.

2. If using a stepladder, make sure that the spreader arms are in the locked, open position.

3. If you are using a straight or extension ladder, make sure the ladder is resting at the correct angle to the wall or structure it is leaning on. The angle is normally 75-80 degrees. Or for every 4 ft high the ladder is on the wall, make the base 1 ft away from the bottom of the wall.

4. If using a straight or extension ladder, make sure that the top of the ladder is resting against a straight and solid surface.

5. Make sure that you have at least three points of contact with the ladder when working, such as two feet and one hand.

6. Wear flat shows or boots with grip when working on a ladder

7. Do not carry heavy items while climbing the ladder, use some type of hoist or pulley system to retrieve the items instead

8. Don?t work on a ladder in strong wind

9. Don?t allow children near the ladder

10. Never stand on the top two rungs of the ladder

11. Stay centered and facing the ladder when climbing or working

These ten tips will help keep you safe, however they are not all-inclusive. If you have any questions about your ladder or safety concerns about your project, make sure to consult an expert.

About The Author

Amanda Miller is a home repair and interior design expert. She has reviewed numerous home improvement tools such as little giant ladder systems.

Condition Stimulus Training

by: Norm Bettencourt

You take with you in combat all the good and bad habits that you learned in your training routine. If your tactics in your training consist of high fancy kicks, wide movements, which require you to have a lot of room you will instinctively do the same when your adrenaline kicks in a street confrontation. That will seriously hinder you if you are fighting for survival in a confined area with furniture around such as a living room or bedroom. Your training should also focus on the mind/spirit as well. Self defense is 90% mental it does not matter how effective your tactics are, if you don’t train your mind for combat you will freeze.

Condition stimulus training is about making your training as real as possible so when your instincts take over in a high adrenaline stressed situation you are ready to use your environment to your advantage and not be hindered by it. Your mind will also be familiar with the stimulus and you will not freeze. Many martial artists and practitioners of self defense programs become overwhelmed when their environment changes from a dojo setting to a small confined area. Being in a room filled with furniture gives a martial artist the feeling of being closed in on and makes them feel that they can not move, so they stiffen. Being in this type of environment changes the way you are going to move or perform a tactic. It is completely different from movement in a dojo where you a vast amount of space.

When you are threatened and your adrenaline kicks in you now unknowingly give 100% faith and trust to your self defense system that it will get you out of harms way. Remember you fight like how you trained if you have trained in traditional systems you will most likely not use your environment to your advantage to defend yourself instead you will be hindered. You will focus on how you can not move and get tied up with objects in a room such as furniture because your training hasn’t prepared you for that type of stimulus. What you wear while training is also a big factor when it comes to be prepared to move in the streets. Many systems get practitioners to wear loose fitting clothing when they practice tactics for the obvious reason of being able to move freely. The downside of this is that when you move on the street wearing boots, jeans and form fitting clothing your range of motion is restricted. You will move much slower and if you are a female wearing heels will be off balance performing tactics because you have not trained yourself to move with heels on

The benefit with training this way is obvious, you give yourself more options, weapons and exits. Your mind is prepared and conditioned for the stimulus that comes its way when violence is presented to it. The more the mind is shown a stimulus the more it is accustomed to it and unfazed it becomes “normal” just like any other everyday event it has experienced.

About The Author

Norm Bettencourt is the Creator/Founder of TACT Self Defense which specializes in self defense products, crime prevention & combat management tactics for mind, body & spirit.
Discover the Might of Dirt Bikes!

by: Maricon Williams

Mistakes, negligence and wrong choice of oem and aftermarket motorcycle parts as well as accessories can trigger its wrath. To circumvent this we have to design an action plan? What can we do?

Accidents come when you least expected it. But still we have to be prepare so as not to aggravate our circumstance to our disadvantage?

Here are some tips to all the riders and motorists out there:

1. Choose quality. Buy only the best quality motorcycle parts you can afford. There are a couple of reasons to this. First, it is critical to the motorcycle?s operation. Second, there is no need to save a few bucks on a cheap yet defective parts. Never sacrifice quality. That?s the lesson you have to learn early on. You must not wait for a circumstance to proove the same because that circumstance can be fatal.

2. Keep safe. Use protective gears and apparel to protect you from head to toe. It includes high-quality motorcycle helmet, jacket, gloves, vest, eyewear, pants, socks, boots and the likes. Be sure they are durable and comfortable so as to withstand the pressure and momentum in riding.

3. Maintain and repair. Before you leave for your adventure, check for some leaks and defects in the motorcycle then repair them rightaway to avoid further trouble. Check it with diligence. Regular repairs are also necessary to be sure of the motorcycle?s condition and safety.

4. Be prepared. Be sure that the tank is full and is more than enough to carry you to your destination and back. The situation when you need something right in the middle of the race or in a busy riding day will piss you off. Always prepare and be ready. That is the best weapon you can use at any given circumstance.

5. Insured it. Get your motorcycle insurance. Just in case you encounter collision with another automobile, side-swept a person or other forms of compensatory instances, the insurance company will answer for the damages.

We must realize that everything is a compromise. As a consequence, it is vital therefore to be careful and to understand implications. An ounce of prevention is a pound of cure. Though said maxim is already ages old, still, it has perpetual stigma.

About The Author

Maricon Williams

Please visit Aftermarket Motorcycle Parts site at http://www.aftermarketmotorcyclepartsnow.com/ for comments and inquiries regarding this article.
